Closing RDP session on a network disconnect - at the client level
Hi all. Doe anyone know how to close or have the session prompt you that it
has been disconnected without having to input either by mouse or keyboard.
My main concern is a network disconnection. Our application we are running
from a client connecting to windows 2003 server is a monitoring app
displaying real time numbers. I've tested and upon network disconnect the
screen is still loaded in local memory and nothing automatically prompts that
the session has been disconnected. I can get to prompt when I try to input
with the mouse the messagebox comes up letting me know I've been
disconnected. This is not good enough as operator will be looking at display
numbers and not necessraily inputting the mouse. This could lead to false
readings if operator does not notice that the numbers are not updating. I've
looked in group policies locally on XP PC, nothing there. There are bunch of
registry settings for RDP but not sure which one or combination.
Thanks to any in advance for any guidance.
