VPN Application Speed
HI,
I'm having trouble with slow application speed through a VPN connection. Our
store relys on the application for day to day ordering of products and sales.
What configuration changes can be made to speed things up? The connection is
fine and secure but the response time of the application is unacceptable.
What are my options?
Also, Currently only the Server location has a static IP address assigned
and I'm wonder if a Static IP's at the remote location would speed things up.
For the time being I'm using PC Anywhere to the server for the remote
location but this is only a temporary solution to the problem. THANK YOU!!!

Re: VPN Application Speed
Correct, using IP will improve the speed. The other solution is use RDC over
VPN.

Re: VPN Application Speed
Thanks. Would you mind breifly explaining what "RDC over
VPN" is and how its applied? Also to clairify; having static IP's both on
the server, and at the remote location should speed things up? Also, I'm an
Ex-MCP so no need to over explore things- Just sock-it to my jaw.

Re: VPN Application Speed
This may help.
TS over VPNTo use TS over VPN, normally you need to establish VPN using the
VPN username and password first. Then logon TS manually. With Microsoft
CMAK, you can ...

Re: VPN Application Speed
Robert, Thank you so much for the information, it is very useful. Hey, for
the future you should try to correct the english, construction and syntax of
typed message(s) to others; even when you are not its originator, it still
reflects you, and will help others read it with better understanding and
ease.
