Error connecting remotely
Recently, I have been unable to log in using remote desktop. I have received
the following problem on the same day each of the last three weeks. And it
requires a reboot of the remote computer, and then it works fine. The
problem is that someone isn't always available to reboot the computer. This
is the error message:

"Error connecting to existing session for {username} (Id 0) A device
attached to the system is not functioning."

I have a dell dimension 4300, running xp pro sp2.

Re: Error connecting remotely
I would look in the event logs on the remote PC for clues...

Re: Error connecting remotely
I don't know where the event logs are. And I may have confused the remote
and local computers in my previous post. The error happens at my office
computer which won't allow me to log into remotely. The office computer
requires the restart.
