remote desktop login
Hello,
I have a problem with the remote desktop login process.
The RDP server is a RDP 6.0 Windows XP based PC. If I try to login with
a Windows Vista client I have no problem but everytime I use a Windows
XP client (with a RDP 6.0), I can connect to the server but I cannot
login. I receive this error message: "The system could not log you on.
Make sure your User name and domain are correct. Letters in passwords
mut be typed in the correct case. Make sure that Caps Lock is not
accidentally on". I'm sure about user and passwd.
I tried also using a Windows XP client with the old RDP 5.1 and it works
so I removed the RPD 6.0 update from the other PC but nothing changed.
How can I solve this issue?
Thanks in advance
Giovanni

Re: remote desktop login
If you saved your login credentials I would delete them and trying logging
in again. Open the Remote Desktop connectoid, select Options and select
"delete these credentials".

Re: remote desktop login
First of all thankyou for your response. I did not save my credential so
I have not the link to delete them. I cannot undestand the problem.
Just an additional information: I'n trying the remote connection under a
ssh tunnel forwarding the 3389 port then connecting with the RD
connectoid at 127.0.0.2 address. With Vista works but with XP client it
does not.
Any other ideas?
Thank you in advance
Giovanni

The Remote Desktop 6.0 connection FAQ may or may not provide help...

You might try logging on with a different account as a test or create a test
account as a test.

Re: remote desktop login
I've tried everything but it does not work.
Just a last question. Could it depend on the different localization
between client and server? The first one is an italian win-xp pro the
second one an english win-xp pro
Thankyou
Giovanni
