RDPDD.dll failed to load

Yesterday I installed lastest nvidia driver, version 175.16.
After that remote desktop doesn't work anymore.
Event viewer reports this error:

Event Type: Information
Event Source: Application Popup
Event Category: None
Event ID: 26
Date: 15/05/2008
Time: 22.46.21
User: N/A
Computer: EDDIE-III
Description:
Application popup: : \SystemRoot\System32\RDPDD.dll failed to load

I've read about that turning off hardware acceleration could solve the
problem, but it didn't in my case.
However this is a vey old problem. Many times remote desktop went in
conflict with video cards drivers, and it's time that microsoft fix this
annoyance.
Any suggestion about a possible resolution will be appreciated. Otherwise i
will roll back to previous video drivers.

Same here. Interestingly, this was not a problem with the same chipset on a
XFX card. I swapped the XFX card for a on-sale EVGA version.

Oldish post, but this is a known problem with the latest nVidia
drivers. nVidia has acknowledged this:

Only solution is to go back to the 169 drivers until they get it fixed.
