"Allow users to connect remotely" reg key
I assume there's a reg key to flip this RD setting, but I can't find it.
Does someone know?

Also, I'm looking for a comparison between VNC and RD...for a simple WiFi
remote session, which has better performance?

Re: "Allow users to connect remotely" reg key
You can download a spread sheet that maps group policies to registry
entries. These pertain to Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows Server 2003,
Windows XP Professional, and Windows 2000.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

I have always found Remote Desktop [RDC] to be faster than any flavor of VNC
that I have tried. Of course that is a subjective analysis so as always
YMMV...

Re: "Allow users to connect remotely" reg key
I think line 2223 in the spread sheet is the one your looking for...

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal
Services!fDenyTSConnections
