RDP won't connect, no error msg
Suddenly RDP won't connect. I'm running two machines on WinXP SP3 32-bit,
and suddenly, yesterday, RDP won't connect.
I don't get any error message, RDP just blinks "Connecting to
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" and then dissapears without any error message. I've tried
three different computers (all running WinXP SP3), and none of them
connecting to this one specific host. These clients can connect to each
other via RDP without any problem.
I've checked the event log on the problematic server, but there is no clue
as to what can be the problem. I've also tried to reboot this server, but
there is no improvment.

Re: RDP won't connect, no error msg
It could be MTU issue. This search result may help.
connection to remote computer was broken caused by network error
If the Remote Desktop screen comes up black and then you receive this
error, you may need test and modify the MTU. These links may help, ...

Re: RDP won't connect, no error msg
Afraid not, it has been working flawlessy for weeks, and without any apparnt
changes/updates, it stopped working at all. I don't get any error messages,
the client just blinks "Connecting to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" and then dissapears
without any error message.

Re: RDP won't connect, no error msg
I'm having the exact same issue. I don't think it happened right after
installing SP3 for XP so that shouldn't be the issue. And, frankly, VNC
sucks so I want my RDC back x.x Anyone have any other ideas?

Re: RDP won't connect, no error msg
I want to vomit. I've been having the same problem for weeks and had no
idea what the problem was. I've been chasing rabbits all this time,
thinking it was SP3, my router, some software on my system (other than
the damned video drivers), or the alignment of the planets.
Makes me feel like killing someone.
But not you--to YOU I am grateful.
